About the role
Join Google's Search Quality team to build and ship ML models that improve ranking, query understanding, and search result quality for billions of daily queries.
**Responsibilities:**
- Design, build, and iterate on large-scale ML ranking models
- Work closely with research scientists to productionize novel algorithms
- Drive A/B experimentation frameworks and interpret results at scale
- Own model training pipelines on distributed infrastructure (Borg, Flume)
**Qualifications:**
- 8+ years of ML engineering experience
- Deep knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch or JAX
- Strong background in NLP, information retrieval, or recommendation systems
- PhD or equivalent research publications is a plus
