Backend Engineer — slice UPI Credit Line

slice is a next-gen fintech building credit cards and UPI products for young India. The Backend team in Bengaluru is hiring engineers to build the UPI credit line — a BNPL product on top of UPI rails regulated by RBI. **Responsibilities:** - Build the credit utilisation and repayment engine for slice's UPI credit line - Integrate with NPCI UPI 2.0 for credit-on-UPI mandate flows - Implement credit scoring pipelines using bureau data (CIBIL, Experian) - Drive regulatory compliance: RBI fair practices code, NACH mandate management **Qualifications:** - 2–5 years of backend engineering experience - Strong Python or Java skills; experience with async frameworks (FastAPI, Quart) or Spring - Understanding of UPI, NACH, and credit bureau APIs - Willingness to learn RBI regulatory landscape
