Software Engineer III — Platform Engineering (Instamart)

Swiggy Instamart is looking for a Software Engineer III to join the Platform Engineering team in Bengaluru. You will build the foundational infrastructure that powers dark-store operations, inventory management, and delivery routing. **Responsibilities:** - Design and ship distributed backend services in Go and Java - Build real-time inventory sync and demand forecasting integrations - Drive platform reliability (SLA > 99.9%) through chaos engineering and SRE practices - Collaborate with dark-store operations to reduce picking-to-dispatch latency **Qualifications:** - 4+ years of backend engineering (Go or Java) - Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, and gRPC - Experience with Kubernetes in production - Strong system design and problem-solving skills
