Senior Software Engineer — Payment Gateway APIs

Cashfree Payments' Engineering team in Bengaluru is hiring Senior Software Engineers to scale the core payment gateway APIs — including net banking, UPI, cards, BNPL, and international payments. **Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain high-throughput payment orchestration APIs (50K+ TPS) - Design multi-tenant API gateway with rate limiting, fraud detection hooks, and SDK support - Own integrations with bank payment gateways, card networks, and NPCI - Drive reliability with chaos engineering, load tests, and SLO tracking **Qualifications:** - 5+ years of backend engineering experience - Strong in Java or Go; proficient with MySQL, Redis, and Kafka - Experience in payment systems: PCI-DSS, 3D Secure, tokenisation, NPCI APIs - Familiarity with API gateway products (Kong, AWS API Gateway) is a plus
