SDE-2 — Payments Core Platform

PhonePe's Payments Core Platform team in Bengaluru is seeking an SDE-2 to own mission-critical transaction processing components. You will work on systems that handle India's highest UPI payment volumes with 99.999% uptime requirements. **Responsibilities:** - Design and build the transaction engine and idempotency framework - Implement reconciliation and settlement workflows for banks and payment networks - Drive observability: distributed tracing, alerting, and SLO dashboards - Collaborate with RBI compliance and security teams on regulatory requirements **Qualifications:** - 3–6 years of backend SDE experience - Strong Java / Kotlin skills; experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL - Understanding of payment systems: UPI, NPCI, PCI-DSS compliance basics - Experience with Kafka, distributed locks, and high-throughput microservices
