## About This Internship Instawork is hiring detail-oriented Operations Data Analyst Interns to support the Field Operations (FO) team — working with market, territory, business location, worker coverage, and visit schedule data to build route maps and planning spreadsheets. Fully onsite internship. ## What You'll Do - Build and maintain Excel workbooks for FO route planning, territory coverage, and visit schedules - Clean, validate, and organize operational data (addresses, zones, markets, visit frequency) - Create route maps and territory layouts using Excel and/or mapping tools (Google Maps) - Support route optimization by grouping stops by geography, time windows, and capacity - Produce weekly/daily planning sheets and track coverage gaps ## Required Skills (Must-Have) - Microsoft Excel: intermediate-advanced (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, conditional formatting, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS) - Data hygiene: sorting/filtering large datasets, deduplication, standardizing addresses - Spatial/route thinking: grouping locations by proximity, zones, drive time - Attention to detail and reliability meeting deadlines ## Nice-to-Have Google Sheets/Power Query experience, mapping tools (Google My Maps, QGIS), basic SQL, prior logistics/field-sales/routing experience. ## How to Prepare ### Skills to Build Before Applying Advanced Excel functions (practice building a route-planning workbook from scratch), basic geographic/route optimization logic, data cleaning techniques for messy address datasets. ### Interview Preparation for Interns Common questions: walk through how you'd build a route plan for 20 field agents across a city, how do you validate/deduplicate a messy address dataset in Excel, how would you flag coverage gaps to a non-technical manager. ## Stipend & Benefits Performance incentives and regular feedback; fully onsite with clear deliverables (stipend amount not disclosed in the posting — confirm during application). ## How to Apply Apply directly via the official Greenhouse posting. ## Official Links & Resources - Official Job Posting / Apply: https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/instawork/jobs/4689262006 - Company: Instawork
