## About the Role
Atomicwork is building a modern service management (ITSM) platform uniting people, processes, and platforms through AI automation. This hybrid Backend Engineer role, based in Bengaluru, builds the foundations of the Atomicwork platform.
## Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex web applications emphasizing usability, performance, scalability
- Design and build enterprise-grade systems with craftsmanship in coding, testing, deploying
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and backend engineering
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Self-direct work, acting like a technical founder of the product
## Required Skills & Qualifications
- No formal qualifications required — hands-on skills valued
- 3+ years working on complex, distributed software applications from scratch
- Knowledgeable in Java and Python; understanding of React
- Strong database fundamentals (caching, query optimization, indexing); MySQL preferred
- Extensive API experience, scalable platform systems
- Comfortable with AWS and public cloud infrastructure
- Familiar with Cursor code editor
